Description
Tapered legs, dramatic chamfers on the tabletop, and a wire suspended bottom shelf all lend toward this table’s overall sense of graceful airiness. Playful dark walnut inlays throughout the piece contrast against the mahogany's characteristic golden streaks. The 20" x 14" tabletop provides adequate area for a variety of uses while the wire suspended shelf can be left empty or used as a pedestal to highlight a small knick-knack, statuette, or house plant (max weight 1lb).
While delicate in appearance, top quality construction techniques ensure this piece will remain sturdy across the test of time. The base and legs are assembled with through mortise and tenon joints that are a hallmark of hardy Craftsman style furniture. These already robust joints are then reinforced with walnut wedges to provide additional strength. Sliding dovetails mate the tabletop and base to assure a stable top that will remain rigid for a lifetime.
